BODENLANG Travel Blog – When in … Monaco
Monaco is always a special place and worth a visit. But for BODENLANG this tiny city-state on the French Riviera in Western Europe means even more. Our team met in Monte Carlo a few years ago and half of the team now lives here too.
Each May Monaco turns into a breathtaking hotspot when Formula 1 stops by for its most spectacular race of the season. Famous faces and motorsport enthusiasts enjoy watching the race cars chasing each other through the narrow streets. A combination of precision driving, technical excellence and sheer bravery is required to win in Monte Carlo, facets which highlight the differences between the great and the good in F1.
But there is more to Monaco than Formula 1! So we are going to share our favourite spots with you.
SHOP: BODENLANG at Campo Di Fragole
When you are ready for a spot of shopping „Campo di Fragole“ is the best destination for all your fashion needs and wants! Located on the Rue Grimaldi just a short walk from the Monaco harbour, you can find a selection of our latest BODENLANG dresses!
MUST SEE: Casino de Monte Carlo
After you have shopped your BODENLANG dress, make sure you walk up to the Casino de Monte Carlo which was opened in 1863. This beautiful building makes the perfect backdrop for a picture to show off your new maxi. You might be familiar with the impressive building from the outside and the interior will not disappoint you either.
CHILL OUT: Nikki Beach
To enjoy the sun, and some fabulous drinks, take a walk from the casino square to the Nikki Beach on the roof terrace of the Fairmont Hotel. Simply chill by the pool and take in the amazing view of Monte Carlo.
The Nobu restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel is world famous for its delicious fusion cuisine, blending traditional Japanese dishes with Peruvian ingredients. Make sure to try the signature dish: black cod in miso! Also a must-eat-spot for every sushi lover.
PARTY: Cafe Sass & Jimmyz
After dinner take a walk along the Avenue Princesse Grace which is named after Grace Kelly. According to Engel & Völkers, it is the most expensive street in the world. You will pass the Cafe Sass which has been the “in” spot for the international jet set since many years. Stop there for a glass of champagne and listen to the great piano live band. Afterwards dance the night away at the Monaco´s most iconic club: Jimmy’z. Enjoy the unique atmosphere and listen to the world’s top DJs that come to the club to spin the decks! After non-stop dancing and painful feet, go and watch the sun rise above Monte Carlo before you go to bed.
As we never like to leave our best friends behind, it is good to know that Monaco is extremely dog friendly! You can take your pets with you everywhere during the day.
